A · The Identifier

The Identifier

Founded in 1961 by E. Llwyd Ecclestone Sr. on the last remaining large undeveloped coastal tract in Palm Beach County, Lost Tree Village spans 450 acres from the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway (Little Lake Worth), bordered by Seminole Golf Club to the north and John D. MacArthur Beach State Park to the south. The name references a local legend of a gumbo-limbo survey marker tree that repeatedly disappeared between land surveys in the 1800s and early 1900s.

The community comprises approximately 524 to 570 residences: oceanfront estates, Intracoastal lakefront homes with private deep-water docks, golf course estates, cottages, and Bermuda-style condominiums. All owners belong to the Lost Tree Village Property Owners Association (LTVPOA). The Lost Tree Club, a separate private equity club within the gates, offers golf, beach, tennis, spa, and dining on an invitation-only basis requiring home ownership and member sponsorship.

“450 acres from ocean to Intracoastal, a private mile of Atlantic beach, and an invitation-only club — permanence no new development can replicate.”
